Ganga Saptami is also known as Ganga Jayanti. Ganga Saptami is celebrated the seventh day of shukla paksha in Vaishaka Month. Its an auspicious day which is celebrated in the honor of Goddess Ganga. On this day, Goddess Ganga was born. On this day, Goddess Ganga moved from Swarg Lok to hair(head) of Lord Shiv ji. One should do pooja and donation on this auspicious day of Ganga Saptami.

- On this day of Ganga Jayanti, do pooja of Goddess Ganga. Take bath with holy water Ganga.
- Ganga name itself is Divine name. In morning, chant Ashtottara Shatnam Stotram of Ganga.
- One who does chant Ashtottara Shatnam Stotram, their all sins get washed away.
- Chant 108 names of Holy Ganga on this Ganga Saptami day.
- Workshipping Goddess Ganga Ashtottara Shatnam Stotram will give blissful life.
- Chant this Mantra – Om Namo Gangaaye Vishwaroopini Narayani Namo Namah:
गंगा सप्तमी/ गंगा जयंती
गंगा सप्तमी – शुक्ल पक्ष के सप्तमी को वैशाख मॉस में मनाया जाता हैं। इसी दिन माँ गंगा स्वर्ग लोक से महादेव शिवजी के जटाओ में पहुंची थी। इस दिन माँ गंगा की पूजा और दान करना चाहिए। गंगा सप्तमी को गंगा जयंती के रूप में भी मनाया जाता हैं।

गंगा सप्तमी तिथि शुरू : 18 मई 2021 को दोपहर 12:32 बजे से

पूजा करने की विधि – गंगा सप्तमी पर
नीचे गंगा सप्तमी की पूजा विधि दी हुई है। इस दिन कैसे माँ गंगा की पूजा करे और कौन से मंत्र करे।
- इस दिन माँ गंगा की पूजा करनी चाहिए । गंगा जल से स्नान करे।
- गंगा नाम ‘ पुण्य ‘ परम पुण्यदायी है। सुबह गंगा जी का अष्टोत्तर शतनाम स्तोत्र पड़े।
- जो भक्ति पूर्वक इस गंगा जी के 108 (१०८) नाम को पड़ता हैं, उसके पाप नष्ट हो जाते है।
- वह व्यक्ति अतुलनीय आरोग्य एवं सुख प्राप्त करता हैं।
- “ॐ नमो गंगायै विश्वरूपिण्यै नारायण्यै नमो नमः” मंत्र का जाप करे।
